Who We Are
Born in Verona, Italy, I began my professional journey in the early 1980s, shortly after graduating in photography and cinematography. My first role was in warehouse operations, a humble starting point that gave me a practical understanding of work, discipline, and the value of learning every part of a business from the ground up.
Later, I worked with the Italian government in international development cooperation, a path that eventually brought me to Central America in the late 1980s. That experience marked the beginning of a deep and lasting connection with Latin America, a region I have come to know, respect, and care for profoundly.
Throughout my career, I have held a wide range of roles across the audiovisual industry. Until 2000, my work was primarily focused on technical support and operations, including time with companies such as Mediacom and Sony in Europe. Since 2001, I have been based in Costa Rica, where I have continued to build my career while working closely with local integrators and international manufacturers.
Over the years, I have served in regional leadership roles with some of the most recognized companies in the industry. I worked as Area Manager for Central America and the Caribbean at Sony, later spent eight years at NewTek leading sales operations for Latin America, and then three years at BirdDog in a similar regional role. Since then, I have taken on a variety of consulting and business development positions with international companies such as Epiphan, local distribution firms such as Vidiexco, and integrators such as SoniVision.
What has remained constant throughout this journey is a strong commitment to innovation and to the meaningful use of technology. I have a particular interest in emerging technologies and in the broader impact of the audiovisual industry. This has led me to participate in initiatives and organizations such as C2PA, focused on content credentials and authenticity, Save AV, dedicated to a more environmentally responsible AV industry, and several humanitarian efforts aligned with social development and community support.
My experience combines technical knowledge, market development, regional understanding, and long-standing relationships across Latin America. More than a professional path, this has been a lifelong commitment to helping technology create real value for people, institutions, and communities.
